Made by locals, for locals.
The City Shuffle was designed to be challenging for a native to New Orleans and an education to anyone new to the city.
How It Starts
When playing the game, everyone has 10 cards ALWAYS. The person who has lived in the city the longest goes first. They can a pick a card from the Deck or The Pothole (where cards are displaced).
Rules Of A Turn
When it is your turn you follow these steps:
1) Take a card from the Deck or Pothole but only if the card in the Pothole is a Suit.
2) Now is your chance to put down any suits you have 4 of in your hand. If you have a suit already laid down you can put down more on that pile to get rid of cards.
3) Now you have to play a card and place it in the Pothole. It can be a suit you don't need or an Action card.
4) Before you turn if over level back up to Sea Level and have 10 cards again.
Challenge Another Player, Use a Setback or Change The Game
The Action cards in the game can be played during your turn to either challenge another player's knowledge of the city or force them to lose a turn. You can also make big changes in your own hand or in the game itself.
How else can you win?
If you finish the deck and no one has 6 sets yet then the player with the most cards in front of them wins.
